It can be quite frustrating for a client when the other party chooses to ignore a court order. When a party is not complying with an Order or Final Judgment rendered by the court, the other party has the right to seek relief through contempt or enforcement proceedings.
If a judge finds that one party is willfully failing to obey a court order, then the party will be held in contempt. A judge has several options of how he or she can deal with a party that is found in contempt, some of which can be quite serious.
